You could start with a degree in golf course management. This golf degree gives you specific insights in business and management for running a golf course. The course informs you on the ins and outs of running the specific business, because although running a course is a business, it is incredibly different from other business management positions, as you are not left behind a desk for most of the day (there is going to be some paperwork, as is the case with any other business management position, but at least for this part of the day you’ll have a desk overlooking the 18th hole of your course).

If you are an artsy individual that enjoys design, you might want to consider landscape design. This degree instructs you on how to properly design different landscapes. The landscapes available for you to design are endless, from the greenery around the clubhouse to the actual course itself. There are also often specialized classes for designing golf courses. This way, you are able to craft the best golf course with all your abilities; depending on how difficult you want the holes to be and how you want the course to look. This degree, pared up with a golf course management degree, could allow you to not only create your dream course, but also manage it at the same time.  Now that’s a dream job!
